Romania, Bulgaria to promote tourism along the Danube

Bulgaria and Romania will join efforts for the development of a project that promotes alternative tourism along the Danube River coastline, Bulgaria's Novinite website reported Friday. Katya Goranova, head of the business center for helping small and medium enterprises in the Bulgarian city of Ruse, announced Friday that the project, TourNet, Promotion of Cross-border Tourist Product, will be executed under the program CBC Romania – Bulgaria 2007-2013. The business center will be the project coordinator and is set to co-operate with the district council of the Romanian city of Giurgiu, the Ruse association Euroregiunea Danubius and the College for Economic Sciences in Giurgiu. The projects total cost is estimated at 490 000 euro.
